LOT OF 34 CIRCA WWI US MARINE CORPS SHARPSHOOTER QUALIFICATION MEDALS.
Thirty of these are similar in size, featuring a Sharp Shooter pin, then the Maltese Cross style body with target. One has extra bars, most are silver with some bronze examples, two are dated on back 1912 and 1918, one has name and one has a 1915 dated bar. One gold toned medal features crossed rifles with a 1915 bar (not the Maltese Cross). There are three smaller crosses and two stand along bronze bars. In 1912, the Marine Corps began awarding marksmanship badges through WWI. There were three grades of medal winners from Marksman, then Sharp Shooter and finally, the expert award. Great addition to any WWI era Marine Corps collection. All are in fine condition.
