Lot contains: (A) German Army Medical Lt Colonel tunic, (B) Medical officer visor cap, and (C) Pair of uniform trousers. (A) An early 1930s tunic to a Lt Colonel of the medical branch who served in the Imperial German Army in WWI and was likely to have served in the Reichwehr as well. Tunic was made by the tailor "Christian Schwarz u. Sohn" in Munich, and is made from a fine quality doeskin dark green wool, with very light wear and no visible damage. There are five matching era applied buttons on the front, four on the pocket flaps, and two on the shoulder boards. The Oberstleutnant medical boards are tailor sewn in, with each having a rank pip and medical device original to the boards. The two bullion medical branch officer collar tabs are era machine sewn to the collar. A high quality officer bullion eagle is handsewn to the right breast before the lining was sewn in, and the lining is a dark green rayon type. Two sets of era applied awards loops are sewn to the left upper pocket, and four WWI era awards are pinned through three loops above the pocket. CONDITON: Overall near mint condition. (B) An early 1930s medical officer visor cap with no markings on the inner sweatshield. Cap is made from a high quality doesksin wool with no visible damage. Eagle and wreath are applied through the lining and appear to be era applied. Leather sweatband is intact with almost no visible wear. Lining is made from a dark blue cotton with a machine sewn sweatshield, and the officer chin cord is undamaged. CONDITION: Overall near mint. (C) Officer high quality black wool trousers, with a green rayon inner waistband and off-white cotton lining. All five fly buttons, six outer waist buttons, and right rear pocket flap button are era applied. Trousers have two front slash pockets, a right rear flap pocket, a small watch pocket on the right side, and a rear adjustment tab with a brass buckle. The outer lower cuffs have some light staining, and there are four areas of 1/4 inch moth holes in the crotch area. CONDITION: Overall excellent.
