Lot contains: (A) Pre-World War II sword marked "C.E./G." (presumably Carl Eickhorn), "5048" (serial number), and what appears to be an early Waffenampt "82" under the cross guard. Another "WaA82 is on the spine of the blade, with a "2" on the edge side. Near mint nickel plated 34" blade exhibits light runner and scattered marks. Brass wire wrapped black trylon grip is cracked on the right side, and the brass fittings also have a nice aged heavy patina. Blued steel scabbard has the same "C.E./G" and "5048" as the sword, and retains approximately 93% of its original finish, with freckling and scattered marks throughout. A 1/2" dent is 6" from the tip. CONDITION: Overall excellent. (B) Imperial German Dove Head sword with a 33" nickel plated blade marked "E. PACK". Blade has several light dings on its edge, light runner and scattered marks, with some light freckling near the cross guard. Wire wrapped black trylon grip is has damage from being scrapped, and the steel painted fittings retain 65-70% of a black painted finish. Black painted steel scabbard retains approximately 93% of its original finish, with scattered marks. CONDITION: Overall excellent. (C) Imperial German Dove Head artillery sword with an unmarked 30" nickel plated blade, with light runner marks, scattered marks, and some staining along its edge. Wire wrapped black trylon grip has a couple of loose strands, and the gilt steel fittings retain 50-55% of their finish. Black painted steel scabbard retains approximately 80% of its original finish, with moderate freckling and scattered marks. CONDITION: Overall very good to excellent. (D) Third Reich Dove Head sword with a 32" nickel plated blade marked "F.W. Holler". Blade has several light dings on its edge, with very light runner and scattered marks. Wire wrapped trylon grip is undamaged, and the gilt brass fittings retain 65-70% of their finish. Black painted steel scabbard retains approximately 55% of its original finish, with freckling and scattered marks. Throat screw is missing. CONDITION: Overall very good to excellent. (E) Imperial German Dove Head sword with a 34" nickel plated unmarked blade. There is an illegible small mark on the spine near the cross guard, but that area is heavily freckled. Blade has light runner and scattered marks, with freckling and staining to approximately 30% of its finish; mostly near the cross guard. Wire wrapped black trylon grip is missing all but two strands of the wire, and the brass fittings have heavy patina. Steel scabbard has been repainted and retains approximately 55% of its recent finish. There is a moderately damaged portepee attached. CONDITION: Overall very good. (F) Third Reich Dove Head sword with a 31" nickel plated blade marked "F.W. Holler". Blade has very light runner, scattered marks, with some blemishes. Wire wrapped trylon grip has a half inch chip near the cross guard, and the gilt brass fittings retain 60-65% of their finish. Black painted steel scabbard retains approximately 60% of its original finish, with freckling and scattered marks. CONDITION: Overall very good to excellent. WZ
