Gen. Wirt to Sec. of War J.C. Calhoun regarding pensions; Dec. 6, 1785 issue of the Pennsylvania Packet and Daily Advertiser- page 3 records the 1775 “distressful voyage” of the Brig Peggy, resulting in some cannibalism; 1865 Lancaster County oath of allegiance for Justice of the Peace Joseph Engles.
