Lot includes: (A) Luftwaffe M34 officer's sword with a "Dave Malsch, Steinbach" marked nickel-plated blade with heavy scattered marks, staining, and freckling. Blade appears to have been polished and the tip is bent. Blue leather washer is present. Early nickel fittings have heavy patina and staining. The 4 swastikas on the pommel and cross guard do not appear to retain any of their gilded finish with scattered marks and patina. One side of the pommel has an insert which states "Leutnant Max Weber, JG. I-52". It is not known when this insert was added. Blue leather wire-wrapped grip has heavy wear, and the wire is loose with heavy patina. Blue leather-wrapped alloy scabbard has heavy wear with scrapes throughout. Nickel fittings have heavy patina, finish wear, and light dents. Lower fitting is missing its screw. CONDITION: Overall fair. (B) Luftwaffe M34 officer's sword with a "SMF, Solingen" marked nickel-plated blade with light scattered marks. Blue leather washer is present. Early nickel fittings have heavy patina and staining. The 4 swastikas on the pommel and cross guard retain almost of their gilded finish, with scattered marks and patina. Blue leather wire-wrapped grip has medium wear, and the wire is intact with patina. Blue leather wrapped alloy scabbard has light wear with light scrapes and pressure dings. Nickel fittings have heavy patina. CONDITION: Overall very good.
