Large 18K Yellow Gold Open Face Repeating Pocket Watch. Quarter-Hour Repeater. Functions include day, date, month, moon phase, and seconds. White enamel dial with large black Roman numerals and blued steel hands. Case is fully hallmarked "18K" and numbered "50560". Case diameter measured 69mm. Cuvette engraved with presentation reading "W.W. Manning from F.F. Ayer, grateful for long continued eminent services to the house of J.C. Ayer & Co. and the estate of James C. Ayer. Christmas. 1890". Movement and dial are both unsigned. Stem wind. Pin set. Watch is running but stops and starts. All functions and chimes work properly when running. The crown and bow appear to be original, but are not solid gold. Gross weight is 169.8 DWT.
