Extremely Fine & Rare Waltham 18k gold 53mm hunting case pocket watch, front cover is decorated with eight inlaid alternating panels of gold quartz and agate surrounding eight different California mineral specimens under glass in the center, the back cover has a wonderful engine turned design, lever set, 15 jewel, 18s movement #9062208, circa 1899, white enamel single sunk dial with roman numerals and blued steel hands in excellent condition, 18k Dueber case #590543, includes a wonderful Victorian era buckle-link pocket watch chain with five double sided inlays of gold quartz, the toggle bar at the end also has inlaid gold quatrz, chain measures approximately 15" in length, watch is in excellent working order, one of the nicest examples known, gross weight 150.4 dwt.
