Gun writers seldom get excited about a Colt Army Special but this example jumps off the page. Standard features includes six shot, double action, royal high polish Pre-World War I Colt blue finish, fire blued small parts and exquisite diamond checkered walnut grips (no medallion). This revolver has a light drag line and a touch of muzzle wear; 99% original factory finish. The blue is the famous Colt high polish royal blue. Fire blue on the small parts and back of hammer is brilliant. Generous high polish blue on sides of trigger. Near mint to mint grips. As new bore and timing. Left side of frame has the early stylized "C" with pony. A stunning gun in great caliber. From the G. Thomas Puett Collection.

Condition: (Near Mint).
