1959 Mattel #850. This is a fine example of Mattel's iconic first issue Barbie doll also known as a #1 Barbie. This blonde Barbie comes in her original box, marked blonde, and includes the original black pedestal stand, #1 booklet, famous zebra striped swimsuit, #1 shoes with holes and sunglasses. The doll's condition is fantastic with all original makeup and beautiful hair. There is no green at the ears and she does have her original gold hoop earrings. Some areas are still pink while most of the doll has exhibits the whitish complexion, as typical with the first Barbies. The rare #1 pedestal stand is included, although cracked across the middle and glued almost seamlessly, it is still nice for display. The box is excellent as well. This is truly an important piece of toy Americana.
