German bisque socket head incised “17D” made by Cuno & Otto Dressel, molded gray hair with crown opening covered by cardboard pate, (large piece broken and glued on back of head, light hairline crown to cheek) tapered eyebrows, inset glass eyes, painted lashes, gray molded mustache; original five-piece papier-mâché body with molded boots; original naval uniform with metal buttons, epaulets, and sword, replaced cap. Nice original item!
