This uncommon piece is in its original flintlock, with a folding trigger mechanism, encased in an "all-iron" assemblage marked "FARMER," (an early mid-18th century maker). The cock (or hammer), when pulled back, releases the trigger from its secure hiding place and also has a unique sliding safety mechanism. The iron, pistol grip has a bulbous butt and scroll engraving, and its 1" cannon barrel is a "screw-on" type with a raised baluster ring.
RARE EARLY BRITISH QUEENE ANNE WAISTCOAT PISTOL.
