Serial No. 292002 (all matching) Colt Model 1849 Pocket revolver converted to metallic cartridge with no ejector and octagon barrel in very good condition. Nice average example of early cartridge conversion. Overall length 10” and barrel length 5”.
UPDATE/CORRECTION: UNUSUAL CONVERSION TO 32 RIMFIRE. FLUTED CYLINDER INSTALLED MUCH LIKE A 1862. COLT POLICE WITH A TWO PIECE CONVERSION RING. CYLINDER DOES NOT INDEX. MOSTLY PATINA. BARREL STAMPS A LITTLE LIGHT. INTERESTING GUNSMITHG COLT CONVERSION FROM THE PERIOD. RAMROD REMOVED. STRONG BUT DIRTY BORE.
