Built by Steyr, it is a copy of the Mauser 71-84. Standard short rifle with a 26" barrel, chambered for the 6x5x53R cartridge. Barrel and frame are a pleasing mix of blue and brown patina. Walnut stocks are excellent with no cracks or chips. Bolt is stamped with a "C". Safety and barrel are stamped "D989", as is frame. 200 meter rear sight. Stamped "1886" on left side of frame. Very good bore and fine action. Proof mark on left side of stock. 2" closed crack in butt with Steyr 1886 logo stamped on both sides of stock.
