This rifle was manufactured in 1895. It is standard in all respects. Features a 26" full octagon barrel, full magazine, walnut stock, and is chambered for the ever popular .45-70 Winchester cartridge. This rifle has remained in wonderful condition. Barrel and tube retains approximately 90% of the original blue, thinning on high edges, and the tube is starting to thin. Evident case colors on frame, hammer, and lever with the balance a beautiful dull nickel appearance. Walnut stocks are excellent, proud to metal, no cracks or chips, with most of the original finish. A rear tang sight is present. Bolt retains virtually all of the original blue, albeit thinning. Buttplate has basically nickeled out. Bore is near new and action is perfect. An extremely clean antique Model 1886 in a wonderful caliber.
