Extremely rare fly rod size Open Mouth Shiner from the Creek Chub Bait Co. of Garrett, IN. Measuring in at 1-3/4" in length, it is finished in the old red side pattern with tiny gold painted eyes, and screw eye hardware. Condition shows a nick at the left upper corner of the mouth, otherwise in nice condition. This is the exact bait pictured in "Old Flyrod Lures" by John and Jim Muma, page 35 lower right. We cannot find any other photographs or published information on this early experimental Creek Chub at this time.
