The Dreadnought from the Moonlight Bait Co of Paw Paw, MI, by far, one of the most difficult bait and boxcombinations made by this company. First offered in 1912, by 1913, Moonlight was unable to keep up with demand for this monster! Measuring 4" in length, this red and white painted 5 hook bait was rigged with standard Moonlight raised brass washer and screw eye hardware, with plain nickel plated spinners, fore and aft. This authentic example is most likely unfished, exhibiting "box" pointers only. The rarity of the bait is rivaled only by the scarcity of its own box. This extraordinary example is in excellent condition, solid and clean with just a small area of red staining to theleft edge. A centerpiece for any Moonlight or miscellaneous collector….a top ten classic that would fit with any proud collection!
