A 1940 Air Flow “Torpedo” cabin streamliner equipped with cast magnesium three piece wheels. Early on as the tether racing hobby swept the country, racers realized aerodynamically streamlined racers would provide greater speeds. Air Flow Industries out of New York were pioneers in the field. Substantial in size at nearly nineteen inches, the streamliners were expensive in the day and highly sought after by collectors today. This particularly fine example is presented as it came off the race track in the 1940's.
