Packaged in it's introductory maroon cardboard box is this Punkin-Seed Wooden Minnow from Wm. Shakespeare of Kalamazoo, MI. The #30 series Punkin-Seed was new during the 1907 season, featuring a wonderfully shaped, 2-5/8" wood body, B-notch propeller, full bucktail trailing treble hook, and huge musky sized glass eyes! This one is finished in the typically seen blended green back, white belly with blended red sides, prominent red hand painted gillmarks, about very good+/excellent- due to a chip at the right side nose and light back wear. The introductory maroon box measures 5-1/2" X 2-1/4" and has full label on both the top and end, light wear, staining, and one scotch taped end. There are a half dozen or less known examples of this scarce introductory box from Shakespeare making this an important piece of the Shakespeare puzzle. A rare opportunity.
THE NEW SHAKESPEARE WOODEN PUNKIN-SEED IN BOX.
