French bisque socket head incised “E 8 D” with Jumeau checkmarks, mark used during the Douillet management of the Jumeau firm (hairline crossing forehead from rim to eyebrow), multistroked eyebrows, blue threaded paperweight eyes, painted upper and lower lashes, closed mouth with lip shading, pierced ears, cork pate, replaced mohair wig; jointed composition and wood French body with walking mechanism at the hip joint and a door opening on front torso, but it’s not working (paint flakes on limbs, hands refinished); redressed in rose silk with antique shoes (one sole replaced). The face everyone loves!
