Bearing more than a little resemblance to the works of Oscar Peterson, this 12" x 15" hand carved fish plaque,features a 12" Brook Trout and a 9" Crappie. Both fish are screwed to the plaque, both have painted tack eyes, nicely finished with a great patina and legitimate age. Unknown artist with nice skill for both carving and painting. Great piece of American folk art. Age and maker unknown.
