Perhaps the rarest Louis Rhead bait known is this 5-1/2" Lamper-eel, finished in green back with buff colored belly, thin black stripe down the back with finely painted gill or mouth detail. Bait has been repaired directly behind the bend of the single hook and shows a split in the body. It is in otherwise excellent condition and we know of no other example of this wonderful creation. Page 188, plate 717. It can also be seen on the left hand side of the Rhead color plate shownon page 181, plate 684.
LOUIS RHEAD LAMPER-EEL ART-NATURE BAIT.
