An unusual 4-1/4" mid 19th century two-blade jack knife handled in hard wood with a large nickel-silver circular inlay bearing an American eagle with the words "United States of America, E Pluribus Unum". Both blades have strong snap in both open and close directions. Face of master blade is stamped "Fish Knife" inside a figure of a fish. Back scale has a hairline by rear handle pin and is starting to separate from liner and backspring. Circa 1850s.
