This 4-1/4" German silver and hard rubber salmon reel comes to auction in as found, uncleaned, all original condition, with a warm, even patina, and early line. Fully functioning adjustable 7 position drag with sliding oil port on the back plate, click button with marked with the concentric circles, and strong click. Oil cover clearly marked with the EDW. VOM HOFE NY PAT JAN 23, 83 marking. German silver foot clearly marked 423, 6-0, and AWJ. Included with the reel is a wonderful, solid condition, form fitting leather case, stamped THOS J CONROY MAKER NY. and hand engraved AWJ. A high quality reel from a maker traditionally known for quality and workmanship.
