This rarely seen c1880 raised pillar salmon reel is considered by many to be the most esthetically pleasing and highly sought after model by reel collectors. Beautiful orange and black marbleized hard rubber and German silver accent this 3-3/4" model, sold by and very clearly marked: "William Mills & Son NY". It is in excellent condition, with a strong echoing click, full length unaltered foot, clean spool and crisp slotted screws. It appears that it was used very little inits lifetime. This reel represents an opportunity to acquire the apex of classic salmon reels, a true investment quality piece of fishing tackle history.
