Condition and scarcity only begin to describe this Shakespeare Rhodes Wooden Minnow bait and box combination. Rare Rhodes minnow is the #43 model, 3-1/4" length, with only 3 treble hooks, standard Rhodes type bow tie props, glass eyes, with see through gem clip hardware, most likely dating it to c1907. Condition is nice for this early minnow, having chipping at the single belly weight and super light varnish wear, something we like to see in a solid white finished bait! Large sized Rhodes Wooden Minnow maroon cardboard box is nicer than most. Very light wear to themaroon box, 2 split corners, otherwise so very nice, and faintly marked SWR, Solid White Rhodes. A centerpiece bait. and box combination for a serious Shakespeare or miscellaneous collector!
