Measuring 2-3/4" in length, this hand carved wood bait was made by one of the all time great decoy carvers in history. This is a near identical match to Oscar Peterson's patent #1,627,455, granted May 3, 1927 for an Artificial Fishing Bait. Hand blended paint pattern, striped and spotted details, and overall colors, as well as the shape of the bait, make this one of the finest known Peterson baits. Color and condition are extraordinary. This flawless example would make anincredible addition to any Peterson, Michigan, or miscellaneous collection. A true piece of art.
