This adorable heir to the jungle throne is 16 cm tall and five ways jointed. His excelsior-stuffed body is made from blonde mohair that has very minor losses consistent with age. Young Lion has a white mohair chin, three black hand embroidered claws on each of his paws, and a few airbrushed stripes and circles over his body. His face is detailed with brown and black glass pupil eyes, black freckles and highlights, and a hand embroidered nose and mouth. He retains many of his clear monofilament whiskers. Young lion has his trailing "f" button and traces of his ear tag as his Steiff IDs. He was produced in 16 and 21 cm from 1910-1943; this particular example is from the late 1920's.
