A very special .60 gas engine racer built by master model maker Ed Tate. The car is faithful copy of Parnelli Jones’ #98 “Ol’ Calhoun” that led the Indianapolis 500 on three occasions. J. C. Agajanian was the car owner and Willard Battery the primary sponsor. The model tether car is hugely impressive to the eye being 19 inches in length with the laydown .60 engine revealed in the cockpit area driving the rear wheels through a spur gear dive. The shaped aluminum grille and left side air intake are superbly done as is the chrome rear nerf bar, red leather trimmed cockpit, elaborate fuel filter filler, etc. All of the graphics, save for the incidental decals, are hand enameled! It is generally believed that less than five examples were finished to this level. This famed Indianapolis model represents an unrepeatable opportunity to the buyer.

Item Dimensions: 20" L.
