A classic Studio Steiff animal that was most prevalent in untold number of toy stores that sold Steiff toys during the 1960`s. Surely any child walking into a toy store during this time period would have been immediately drawn to this 96" tall mohair animal. Although the typical giraffe is 10' - 15' tall this fellow is till quite impressive and not easily missed. So lifelike with his vibrant colored spotted mohair, long spindly legs, ossicones(knobs on head) and short floppy tail he still retains his original Steiff button w/yellow tag in his left ear and a large plain colored excelsior tag in his right ear. Overall in very fine condition with little wear and/or discoloration to the mohair.
