Circa 1970's, this realistic crouching tiger most have alarmed many a small child while on display in toy stores. Approx. 5' in length with a most realistic appearance he still retains the typical Steiff button w/yellow tag in his left ear. An interesting side note, according to the consignor this Steiff animal came from a British physician who survived interment in a Japanese POW Camp. Upon her release she abandoned medicine & traveled the world gathering numerous artifacts and collectibles along the way.
