Barrel length 22", .30-06 caliber. Remington entered the modern bolt action era with the introduction of the Model 30 in 1921 and continued until 1940. This sporting rifle used the Model 1917 Enfield action as the basis for this quality pre-war sporting rifle. It is a standard issue with blued finish, and one piece checkered walnut stock with serrated steel butt plate, and schnauble tip. Barrel and frame retain approx 90% original factory blue. The front sight band and rear sight band are turning patina. Checkdered walnut stock is excellent with sharp checkding and a few minor impressions. The floor plate retains most of its original blue. The trigger guard is turning patina. Fine bore and perfect action. Typical high quality pre-war sporting rifle. It is both collectable but eminently usable.
