A classic automaton from the latter part of the 19th century featuring a young lady pouring and then serving tea. Bisque head marked Tete Jumeau 4, fine bisque w/blue paperweight eyes, blonde mohair wig and a partial front bisque shoulder plate. When activated she will turn her head and then lower her head, pour tea from her right bisque hand into her left bisque hand holding a tray with three cups and then offer some to prospective drinkers. Elaborately costumed (newer vintage) while standing on a red velvet base containing the mechanism. Underside of base retains the original paper label indicating which musical tune is being played.
