Unusual and seldom found Parian doll with elaborately detailed blond molded hair with tight braid encircling a cluster of curls in back, pierced earlobes, corn flower blue inset glass eyes, with smiling mouth similar to those found on Simon & Halbig's. The head swivels on a separate bisque shoulder plate, which is mounted to a cloth body with long bisque forearms and sewn joints at hips and knees. The costume is reminiscent of an 1870's fashionable lady with dotted silk print and black velvet and lace trim. All underwear is antique as is the black leather shoes. Condition is very good with very minor chip to edge of neck socket of shoulder plate; dress melting especially in the front.
