This Steiff pattern is known as the "mask" Teddy design, named so for its well-defined, masked shaped facial area. This group consists of one 14, 18, 26, 41, and two 36cm bears. All are five-ways jointed, retain their original red ribbons, and have black and brown pupil eyes and a hand embroidered nose and mouth. All but the smallest cub have paw pads which are made from a peach colored velvet-like material. This "Mask Teddy" design was made overall from 1968 to 1990 and came in white, tan, caramel, and brown in sizes ranging from 11-100cm; brown examples are the rarest given they were only made from 1984 through 1990. All retains their Steiff buttons and yellow ear tags; two are missing their red and yellow split style chest tag. No packaging and documentation as noted. Like new. From a fine California collection.
LOT OF 6: CHOCOLATE BROWN ORIG. BEARS WITH IDS.
