Early French bisque socket head incised “6” with light multistroked eyebrows, brown paperweight eyes, darker rimmed irises, upper and lower painted lashes, closed mouth with shading lines, pierced ears, cork pate, replaced mohair wig; nnmarked French jointed composition and wood body with stiff wrists and separate ball joints at elbows and knees (repaint on lower arm, wear at joints, soil) which appears later than the head. Appropriate cream and lace dress from antique fabrics, antique underwear, replaced shoes and socks. No damage to bisque noted. Wonderful face on this one!
