The officer’s sword with a 29" straight blade of diamond section. No markings. Gold-finished hilt with a sculpted clamshell guard, embellished with flags and anchor motifs. Three appliqued stars. Knuckle-bow with raised decoration. Oval pommel with cabbage leaf motif. Tortoiseshell grip with wire-wrap. Contained in black leather scabbard with gold-finished mounts and a belt hook. Blade and hilt showing wear. Scabbard with wear, cracks and repairs.
