Having a straight tapered blade of hollow triangular section, the lower section having fire-blued finish and gold-washed panels. Ricasso of left side of blade reading: I. S. & G. One-piece clamshell guard decorated with arms panoply and three fleur-de-lis. Lion head terminals. Reverse side with winged beehive. Knuckle-bow with arms panoplies and rooster image. Checkered wood grip. Deep relief cast oval pommel. Contained in black leather scabbard with silver-finished brass mountings. Belt hook. Blade showing wear. Hilt with wear and tiny crack in base of left side of grip. Scabbard with wear to mounts and scuffs to leather.
