Having a curved 36" blade with legend at bottom reading: Donne Par Le Roi. Spine inscribed: Manuf. Rau. de Klingenthal, Mai 1829 s.a. Front of blade polished bright. Three-bar guard with fronts of two bars deep-relief engraved. Front of guard stamped: NAPOLEON/APARIS. Back of guard with raised decoration. Wire-wrapped ribbed leather grip. Oval pommel. Contained in steel scabbard. Two ring mounts. Sword showing light wear overall. Scabbard with age patina and minor rust spots.
