Having a curved, 31" blade with clip point and single wide fuller. Lower portion of blade etched with scrolls and pictorial panels. Top of spine inscribed: J. J. Runkel, Solingen, 1806. Brass crossguard of conventional form with raised decoration with acorn theme. Acorn finial on top and linked chain knuckle-bow. Hardwood grip scales, the pommel of traditional form with brass liner for sword knot. Contained in brass scabbard with engraved mountings, the lower mount with raised vignettes of Ottoman arms panoply. Single ring mount. Blade with wear and pitting. Grip showing wear and possible replacement. Scabbard with wear and major dents in lower section.
