Smooth leather crown with bullion tape trim. Bullion strip in front with button. Bullion French cockade. Black felt body with simulated belt on bottom. Steel chinstrap with fabric liner. Pressboard brim with dark green underside. Leather sweatband and linen drawstring top. Showing wear and cracks commensurate with age. Bullion with patina. Reproduction elements including lion head chain retainers. Scarlet pom-pom is probably a later replacement.
