Having a 32-1/4" curved blade with no fullers. Blade with painted legend: RECOVERED FROM ABOUKIR BAY EGYPT. Applied metal plaque reading: Presented to the/REV’D J.F. Schon./BY THE/Schoolmaster, Schoolmistress and Children/ATTENDING THE/Chatham Royal Marine Schools/DEC. 14th, 1866. Stirrup hilt with integral languets. Steel back strap and pommel. Ribbed ivory grip. Blade and hilt heavily rusted and pitted. Grip missing wrap and chipped.
