Having a 30-1/4" straight, tapered blade, the median on left side inscribed: Rl Fa D T O Lo 1792. Right side inscribed: C A R A V I N Es Rs. Hilt of typical form, pierced with arrowheads and circular holes. Fluted dome pommel. Wire-wrapped grip. Blade bent and showing heavy wear and pitting. Hilt from a different sword (may be a battlefield conversion), showing wear and patina. Wire-wrapped grip a later addition.
