Having a curved 29-1/4" blade with no fullers. Left side etched with florals, panoplies of arms and figurals. Left ricasso etched with legend: Tho[mas] Gill/No 83/Sta James St. LONDON/Warranted. Right side decorated en suite and having crown and FR IIII cypher. Hilt of conventional form with straight quillions etched with florals. Ivory grip scales, left side missing one rivet. Steel pommel with opening for sword knot. Contained in silver-painted steel scabbard with two hanging rings. Blade showing wear. Hilt and scabbard with wear and patina.
