The black leather helmet with red horsehair plume on a spike. Cruciform brass base held with four rivets. Front with trinacria and plate reading Messina and 2. Articulated chinscales held by roundels. Brass edging on visor. Eight-finger leather liner with no drawstring. Entire helmet showing light wear. May have had some additions or alterations in the life of the helmet.
