10/16" bore, 40-1/2" barrel with three barrel bands. The first and third of brass. Proof stamps at breech. Lock mechanism marked: Mre Nle/De Versailles. No flint. Walnut stock with tapered steel ramrod. Sling mounts. Brass trigger guard and counter plate marked: 4 C [C is upside down]. Steel buttplate. Musket showing wear and bruises commensurate with age. Rear steel part of trigger guard showing repair.
