Comprised of: 1) 24” single edge blade with medium fuller, marked AC Mexico. Four band guard hilt with hammered pommel and wood grip. 2) 29” single edge blade showing a few nicks, Three bar hilt with horn grip. 3) Blade length 25-3/4". Engraving on ricasso "Collins & Co./ Hartford/No.22". Blade is oxidized and pitted. Single edge, no fuller or guard. Wooden grip. Deteriorated leather scabbard tooled "Legitimus", also written "Cuban machete XXXX/ Presented to Colonel C. Baker, 2nd VA. Vols. Infantry".
