Caliber is 7.62, barrel length is 24”. This rifle was manufactured in 1945 and has the SWP factory code. Matching bolt number. This gun was converted in April of 1956 to the Nato round used in Israel. The new caliber is stamped on barrel, bridge and stock. Floor plate has the Nazi eagle. Has import marks on left side of sight sleeve. Floor plate is grey patina, has the sheet metal buttplate, original sling, excellent original stock. Gun retains most of the blued finish applied at the time of conversion. Fine bore and action. The Israeli Mausers are getting harder to find and are considered a 98 variation by collectors.
