An exceptional & what appears to be an all original untouched condition engine, tender, flat car, box car & postal car. The clockwork engine, Union, has an articulated front pony truck w/attached cow catcher and a heavily stenciled cab/roof. The tender is quite wide & finished in dark green with fine stenciling to both sides. The flat car is finely detailed with stenciling on the flat bed along with a weight limit stenciled to the side rails. The box car is stenciled UNION LINE & functioning sliding doors & two simulated roof vents. The postal car is stenciled U S Mail and has a nice added accoutrement of a “fire plug” window along with sliding side doors. An amazing train of large proportion, great coloring and quite unusual to find an American tin toy of this caliber without any issues!
