During the early part of the 20th century vehicles, such as this toy in miniature form, were common place in large cities offering tourists a guided tour of the city. The Kenton Toy Company expanded further on this idea by capitalizing on the huge popularity of comic character figures and having these figures riding upon the bus. The five various figures, Happy Hooligan(some paint touch up), Alphonse & Gaston, Mama Katzenjammer(repainted) were in tiered seating with the Captain driving. This version, as opposed to “Sight Seeing Auto”, was always painted in orange with silver spoked wheels(repainted wheels). Overall in good to very good condition with no repairs(especially to the front kickboard which usually is damaged). Lacking steering wheel. Featured in Antique Toy World Article. June 1999 - Page 56

Item Dimensions: 10 -1/4" L.
