Early French artillery tailcoat of blue and red wool with a red stand up collar, red cuffs and bullion tape on sleeves. Red shoulder board straps with gold bullion wire. One silver epaulette with flaming bomb button. Eighteen silver half ball buttons with a flaming bomb button on each cuff. Blue quilted lining with left breast pocket. Outstanding early artillery coat. Damage to both shoulders with small holes, material pulling apart and colors fading.
